WaMu Saga - More comes out

Posted by WebCudgel | 1 Comment

At this point, I have not yet called Washington Mutual to get a new debit card after they deactivated my current one. However, I have now found out that I wasn’t the only one…

In recent weeks, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Washington Mutual and Citibank have all reissued debit cards after detecting fraudulent activity. Smaller banks, such as Ohio-based National City Bank and Pennsylvania-based PNC Bank, have taken similar steps.

This is a paragraph from an article currently on MSNBC.com (via schneier.com). Now I HIGHLY recommend you read the article from MSNBC and consider your banking in light of the information. I may start carrying my checkbook again.
