I *heart* Computers

I don’t hate Mac users. Despite how it sounds in my last post, I have several friends who use Macs and I have no problem with that. Unlike the author of that site I spoke about, I don’t look down on my Mac friends at all. After all, each of the operating systems has its advantages and disadvantages.

For example, most of us are quite familiar with the constant security and bug patches applied to the Windows platform. Thus, it is considered a downfall for Windows to release a product that will require so many updates. Does this mean that Mac is without its own faults? No, as it is quite evident in these few posts online from Mac users.

Just ask a gamer which platform they would choose… it would be a Windows platform due to the extensive volume of games produced for it versus the Mac.

Just ask a graphic designer which platform they would choose… it would be a Mac because of the more abundance of graphic design suites.

In my opinion, they are equal in meeting my needs with one exception… the price. Until this year, it was so much cheaper to acquire a PC over a Mac that I saw little reason to buy a Mac other than “wouldn’t it be neat?” Thanks to the Mac-Mini, they’re finally in my price range.

I’m not a Windows-zealot. Nor would I become a Mac-zealot. And I’m sure I’m with the majority on this as there are only a minority of users that fit in the “zealot” category and a profusion of users who are just happy to have a computer whether it be PC or Mac.

The only thing I hate are zealots who choose to claim everyone else not in their group belongs in the other zealot group which they hate with a passion. Don’t take a chance of turning off the majority just because they’re not in your minority. That goes for you too, Windows-zealots.
