Freedom of Choice
Freedom means being able to make your own choices (within legal bounds) and not have anyone question your decision. Yeah, today is the day of the elections. And my choice was… to not vote.
A freedom isn’t a freedom if you cannot choose to not do it. I.E., we have freedom of religion… which means I can choose to not engage in any religion whatsoever like atheists… we have freedom of speech which means I can choose to not say anything at all on a subject (even the fifth amendment supports that).
Thus, the freedom to vote immediately grants the freedom to not vote. However, why is it that people look at you as if you’re nuts when you tell them you won’t/didn’t vote. After all, I exercised my freedom. I didn’t fight to get into this country just so I could vote… I was born here… so I have no patriotic need to exercise my voting abilities.
Of course, it’s not a true freedom when I can’t vote for anybody but the persons on the ballot. So you want me to exercise my freedom, but you will limit who I can choose? Doesn’t sound like a freedom to me… so I did choose… by not choosing either of the liars (they’re all politicians) currently running.
So yeah, I voted with my feet. But will anyone notice?

It has been brought to my attention that there was a place to write in a name, but it hardly makes the outcome any different. It will still be one of the three currently pushed and I don’t like any of them.
