I found out that today would be freezing temperatures so I did a run yesterday morning.  Since I was going to have plenty of time, I had planned on doing two 5K laps for a 10K or 6.2 mile total.  I need to work on endurance.  However, after just one lap, I had to take care of some intestinal issues and just called it a day.  I decided to do a workout on Monday.

However, this morning, my wife decided that she did not want to get up early and do a workout.  So I jumped on the Wii Fit refusing to let her mood affect my workout regimen.  I still got in a good workout and woke her up afterwards to make sure she had time to get ready while I jumped in the shower.  Overall, I think it was a good start to my day.

    Food:

    • Pre-workout (5:30am) - fat free yogurt (2pt).
    • Breakfast (7:30am) - McDonald’s egg biscuit (8pt), water.
    • Snack (9:30am) - small pear (1pt).
    • Snack (10:30am) - Triple Chocolate Caramel Apple (so bad, but oh so good.. there went 9pt)
    • Lunch (12:15pm) - 24oz Jamba Juice Peach Perfection (6pt), small caesar salad (3pt), 1/2 cup pasta salad (4pt), chicken sandwich (5pt), 1 cookie (5pt).
    • Snack (3:30pm) - chicken sandwich (5pt).
    • Dinner (6:45pm) - tomato soup (5pt), handful of triskets (4pt) w/ dip (3pt), WW English toffee ice cream bar (2pt).

    Exercise:

    • 5:45am - I put in 45 minutes on Wii Fit this morning.  I spent about 30 minutes on aerobics (basic step and advanced step, 10 min hula, 10 min Island Lap running) then the rest of the time doing strength training (10 pushups/side planks, 30 sec plank, 6 reps torso twists, 20 reps jackknife, 15 reps lunge). I was sweating hard after the 10 min hula and that continued on through the rest of the workout. (4 activity points)

    State of Mind:

    • Tired and bloated.  Well, not really bloated, but that mental acknowledgment that I ate too much today and I really blew out my points.

    Tomorrow:

    • I plan on working out in the morning, though traffic may be a pain due to possible icing over night.  So we’ll see.
