But I’m feeling MUCH better now

Posted by WebCudgel | No Comments

Okay… so I haven’t posted in a while. I’ve been depressed about this whole stupid job situation. However, I think I’m finally climbing out of the pit of despair I had occupied these last few weeks. It sure did help to receive the emails I did yesterday for something I had not expected.

You see, I got several emails part of an automated system of my webhosting service informing me that the domain I had registered was now setup on my account. However, I had not registered any domain this week. Sifting through these emails, I found the following:

Charles,

As our clients lives touch ours, we from time to time step up to be more then a hosting company. Thus with the current situation we wanted to help. So we have made a place on the server called:

softwareengineerwillworkforfood.com

Its yours to post resume etc in your efforts to find new employment. We thought the name would be catchy enough to get some attention. You should have all the emails with the login information etc to admin your new account. With this seperate account you can keep webcudgel apart from employment etc.

Thank You,
Jesse Davis

Wow. Someone actually felt touched enough by what I was going through to lend me a hand. Of course, several of my friends are trying their best to find employment for me as well, but this one surprised me because I’ve never actually met Jesse face-to-face, but feel that we would probably be good friends should the chance arise.

Therefore, I feel obligated once again to commend my webhosting service (US Website Hosting and Design) for continuing to surprise me and make me feel more than just a number. This new website will soon contain information about me for prospective employers and I may expand the website later to be used by various friends of mine who need a place to put their resume, pictures, profile, job history and so on. After all, what good is a gift if you can’t share it?

As for my job situation, I’m dealing with several recruiters now and have my resume going out to as many companies. Hopefully, I’ll soon have some interviews. Thanks to all of you who are trying to help me out of this situation and the rest of you praying I’ll get a job so I can back to more interesting posts. ;)
